Frequently Asked Questions
All sessions are a minimum of 90 minutes. This gives us enough time to properly assess your body, identify compensation patterns, and deliver a thorough treatment — not just a quick fix. Longer sessions also allow for follow-up questions and post-treatment guidance.
No referral is needed. Osteopathic Manual Therapy is a direct-access service. You can book online through our Setmore system, call us at 780-335-6705, or send us an email — whichever is most convenient for you.
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows easy access to the areas being treated (back, neck, hips, etc.). Athletic wear or yoga clothes work well. You may be asked to move through a range of motions during the postural and mobility assessment.
This depends on the nature and history of your condition. Most patients experience significant improvement within 3 to 5 sessions. After your first appointment, Nicholas will provide a clear, personalised treatment plan so you know exactly what to expect going forward.
Many extended health benefit plans in Alberta include coverage for osteopathic manual therapy. We recommend contacting your insurance provider before your appointment to confirm your specific coverage. We can provide a receipt for reimbursement purposes.
We treat a wide range of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions including sciatica, lower back pain, neck & shoulder pain, concussion recovery, chronic headaches, and migraines. Each treatment is tailored to your specific needs using gentle, hands-on osteopathic techniques.
We are conveniently located at the Nomad Hotel, 10006 MacDonald Avenue, Fort McMurray, Alberta T9H 1S8. On-site parking is available. If you need directions, feel free to call us at 780-335-6705.
Osteopathic Manual Therapy (OMT) is a hands-on, non-invasive approach to healthcare that focuses on the relationship between the body's structure and its function. Rather than masking symptoms, OMT identifies and treats the root cause of pain — restoring balance, mobility, and long-term wellbeing without surgery or medication.
